Message from Co-Chairs

At Sequoia we like to say “People commit to what they help create”. We believe in the power of collective action and shared vision.  This inaugural Leadership for Good - Imagine Cambodia summit is an opportunity to bring together diverse voices, inspire innovative solutions, and build commitment towards working together for the benefit of all Cambodians.

Our initial thought was to bring together purpose-driven business leaders working and living in Cambodia, to foster mutual learning and co-discover what it takes to nurture Good leadership - conscious leaders who are committed to building a society that creates shared prosperity, wellbeing and growth for all.   

When we heard about Cambodia government’s Vision for 2050 and the Pentagonal Strategy in August this year, I realised that to achieve this, we have to create a space for a microcosm of the whole system to be in the room - intergenerational, and across different sectors.  The idea of “Leadership for Good - Imagine Cambodia” theme was thus born.  We feel very honoured to be able to partner the Asian Vision Institute and the Angkor Social Innovation Park to bring you this exciting summit.  We hope you will join us and help turn this into a positive social movement.

Cambodia is on the cusp of a transformative journey, and at its heart lies the ambitious Pentagonal Strategy Phase One. With well-defined goals and concrete action plans, this strategic blueprint is poised to propel the nation forward, guided by five essential pillars: human capital development, economic diversification, and competitiveness enhancement, private sector growth, resilient, sustainable, and inclusive development, and the nurturing of a digital economy and society. To realize this vision, Cambodia must continue to robustly enhance its leadership capacity and cross-sectoral collaboration. 

This inaugural Leadership for Good Summit will stir collective thinking and imagination among leaders from the public, private and people sectors. It is the beginning of a long journey towards the realization of the Cambodia Vision 2050- to become a developed country. We could impact positive changes through ideation and action. You are welcome to join our journey. We believe in the spirit of togetherness.
